Explore Iceland's famous Golden Circle and swim in pristine glacial meltwaters on this one-of-a-kind tour from Reykjavík!

Discover the natural wonders of Thingvellir National Park from water and land on a fun-filled, 10-hour, guided excursion, snorkelling at the Silfra Fissure and Golden Circle tour from Reykjavík! Welcoming adventurers ages 12 and up.

Located 40 km (24 miles) northeast of Iceland's capital city, Reykjavík, Thingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the country's most popular attractions for those seeking immersive and unique experiences in nature. This geologically and historically significant national park is home to the Silfra Fissure, a section where the tectonic plates separate the continents of Eurasia and North America, in addition to hot springs, geysers, dramatic cliffs, and distinctive rock formations. A guided Golden Circle tour with snorkelling at the Silfra Fissure is an amazing way to visit Iceland!

The fun starts after you've been picked up from your accommodations in Reykjavík (please specify when booking). You and your group (a maximum of 12 people) will board the comfortable minibus and set out on the scenic drive to Thingvellir National Park. Upon your arrival, you'll be greeted by your PADI-certified instructor and guide who will provide the snorkelling equipment, including a mask, snorkel, fins, dry suit, thermal undersuit, and neoprene gloves and hood.

Next, you'll receive an introduction to snorkelling and snorkelling techniques before discovering complete serenity in the pure glacier waters of the Silfra Fissure. The crystal-clear visibility and turquoise colour of the water will have you in awe and you'll cross another item off your bucket list by swimming between two continental plates!

After snorkelling at the Silfra Fissure, the Golden Circle tour from Reykjavík continues towards the spectacular cascading waters of the Gullfoss Waterfall. Although you'll receive photos after the tour, bringing your camera to capture the scenery during your trip to the Golden Circle and snorkelling at Silfra, is highly recommended! The last stop in Thingvellir National Park is just as magical as the others.

The geothermal geysers are impressive, to say the least. Spouting water up to 40 metres high (131 feet), the Strokkur Geyser erupts every 5 minutes! In addition, another geyser called 'Geyser' is where the scientific name originates from. Between glacial waterfalls, amazing geothermal geysers and the clear waters of the Silfra Fissure, this Golden Circle tour with snorkelling at the Silfra Fissure is nothing short of unforgettable! You'll return to the original departure point in Reykjavík with lifelong memories of Iceland.
