For this excursion, you'll sit as a passenger on the snowmobile as the guide drives, so you can simply sit back and relax. After a quick safety briefing and instructions, the 3-hour snowmobile ride to Oqaatsut begins!

Riding with the guide, you'll travel across the snow-covered terrain to the small settlement of Oqaatsut, only accessible by snowmobile, dog sled or boat in wintertime. You'll ride across rolling hills and frozen lakes to reach the picturesque village, home to a close-knit community of just 40 residents.

At the village, you'll explore its traditional wooden houses, small shop, restaurant, and bed & breakfast. The village's residents live a simple lifestyle surrounded by rugged nature, gathering melted ice for water and hunting their own food. A light meal is also included, or you can arrange to eat at Restaurant H8 in the village for an additional fee. At the end of the trip, you'll return to the starting point in Ilulissat.
