Go on an adventure off the coast of Paea and Papara, on the west coast of Tahiti, during an exploration dive with Mobydick Diving!
Rich in biodiversity, the waters of Tahiti offer an incredible environment for exploration diving! If you have a Level 1 or higher in diving, a trip to Tahiti is the perfect opportunity to discover the unique fauna and flora of the Polynesian waters.
Mobydick Diving will take you on one of the following sites, depending on the weather conditions of the day and your level:
. Rohotu drop off - from Level 1
A vertiginous drop off, very vertical and endless, full of life: whip coral, soldier fish, green and hawksbill turtles, nudibranches, etc.
. Mount Turbinaria (lagoon) - from Level 1
A beautiful coral massif in the Tahitian lagoon, very imposing by its size and its depth since it goes down to more than 25 meters and allows multilevel dives. The dive consists of a loop in a forest of turbinaria, large cone-shaped coral formations scattered on the walls.
. Turtle drop off - from Level 1
At Papara, a vertiginous drop off with a lot of relief and convolutions. The coral is in very good health, including on the plateau. A rich and varied fauna is present, as well as a multitude of green turtles finding refuge in numerous hiding places.
. Paea Vault - from Level 1
A magnificent drop-off that extends to 30 meters of depth with a large vault full of hiding places sheltered from the light.
. Paea Rift - from Level 1
A deep fault on the drop off that extends the false pass of Paea. The rift is full of fixed life and many fishes come to hide there.
. False pass of Paea (or Governor's pass) - from Level 1 with experience
A drift dive that can be done in calm seas. The dive starts in the lagoon where the current will take you to a nice pass where many leopard rays often swim against the current. The dive ends on a very nice drop off, which is arched in some places. It is possible to meet turtles and white tip sharks.
