Boat-drawn foil is the ideal activity during windless days in Tahiti. It is also the best way to learn foil or to improve your skills before starting kitefoil or wingfoil!
Tahitian foil towing sessions with Pacific Kite last 1 hour per person, so ideally 2 hours with two people alternating, or 3 hours maximum with 3 people.
. Beginners will be provided with the appropriate equipment to facilitate their learning of the foil in complete safety: a very stable foil with a medium surface area, a large inflatable board for better balance when starting out and to cushion the wind in the event of an accident.
A very stable foil with a medium surface area, a large inflatable board for better balance when starting and to cushion a fall, as well as a helmet with a protective grid (American soccer style).
. The more experienced will have access to 2 other very different foils: the first one, fast and very maneuverable for kiteboarding; the second one with a great lift to work on pumping or to surf on the boat's wave.
Once you have learned how to use a foil, you can move up a gear by taking a kitefoil or wingfoil course!
Pacific Kite is a traveling school that moves around the spots on the south coast of Tahiti, between Maraa and Papeari, so you will have the opportunity to see different landscapes. The choice of the spot is made according to the weather conditions, in order to sail by all wind directions and increase the frequency of the sessions.
The kitefoil and wingfoil lessons last 2 hours, and the groups are of 4 people maximum (1 to 2 students max with 1 to 2 autonomous riders max) to allow you to benefit as much as possible from personalized advice.
Each participant has access to the latest equipment from OZONE for the kites, SABFOIL and ZEEKO for the foils. A radio on the helmet allows your instructor to guide you in real time and to make sure that everything goes well.
The course takes place in deep water in the Tahitian lagoon or in the open ocean: the lagoon spots are located 2 minutes from the beach by boat, and the ocean spots are 10 minutes away.
