Spend a unique evening near Serre-Chevalier with snowshoeing in Le Monêtier-les-Bains, then join an igloo and a teepee for a Savoyard fondue!
Please note: because of the increasingly high temperatures in winter, the igloo is rarely available. So most evenings are spent in a cosy Finnish teepee heated by a wood-burning stove.
In winter, there is nothing like a good cheese fondue to warm up and recharge your batteries after a day in the great outdoors. And to make your fondue memorable, why not enjoy it in the shelter of an igloo or teepee, just after a short snowshoe walk in Le Monêtier-les-Bains? That is the idea behind this original activity in the Ecrins National Park, just a 20-minute drive from Briançon and Serre-Chevalier!
As night falls, you will set off on snowshoes for a short walk of around 40 minutes, heading for a trapper's village where you will find an igloo and teepees. An outdoor campfire will welcome you for an aperitif in the open air with mulled wine and syrup, and then it will be up to you to choose where you would like to dine! Are you ready to enjoy your 100% local cheese fondue in the igloo indoors between 0 and 4°C (available depending on snow conditions), or would you prefer the comfort of the teepees where it is between 12 and 15°C? It is up to you to decide which you would prefer so that you can spend an unforgettable evening on this experience combining an unusual dinner and snowshoeing near Serre Chevalier!
