Long practised by the Polynesians, Stand Up Paddle, or SUP, is a sport that is more and more in vogue. There is nothing difficult about SUP, it simply consists of standing on a large board and moving around on the water by rowing with a paddle. The activity is very popular, as it allows you to work on your fitness while enjoying peaceful walks. Surfers, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers will love this activity and enjoy exploring the most beautiful places in the Bay of Audierne.
The spot
The authentic setting composed of dunes and fine sand is typical of Breton beaches. All this is preserved by the Conservatoire du Littoral. The exceptional site is also classified and protected by the Natura 2000 law.
The school
The Stand Up Paddle school is based at the Yelloh Village campsite near Penmarc'h Beach. Its ideal location allows direct access to the magnificent Steir beach. This beach, sheltered from the swell, is ideal for peaceful walks. You will appreciate the sumptuous landscapes between rocks and fine sand. On days with small waves, the walk can also start from the Pors Carn surf school and take place along the impressive and magnificent rocks of Saint-Guénolé.
The equipment
The equipment is new and renewed every year. Your instructor has a park of about 100 surfboards. With foam, epoxy and resin boards.
