During your session you will have the opportunity to view the remains of bunkers and fortifications that remind us of the courage of the soldiers who fought on this historic land. Whether you are an enthusiastic beginner or a seasoned tank enthusiast, this experience is suitable for all skill levels. EOLIA Normandy Omaha Beach instructors will be happy to guide you and give you tips on how to improve your flying skills!

At the start of your gliding session, you will be warmly welcomed by a team of experienced instructors from EOLIA Normandy Omaha Beach. They will provide you with quality equipment, including a specially designed sand glider. After a short introduction to the piloting techniques and safety instructions, you will be ready to launch on the beach. Once you're on board your sand yacht, you'll immediately feel the power of the wind as it pushes you at high speeds across the smooth sand of Omaha Beach. Course of events

- Meeting point at EOLIA Normandy Omaha Beach - Lieu dit, 14710 Colleville-sur-Mer.
- Briefing on the activity, equipment and safety rules.
- Set up of the equipment and discovery of the sand yachts.
- Sailing session on evolving courses.
- Excursion at the end of the session (depending on the weather).
- Return to the EOLIA Normandy Omaha Beach centre and debriefing.

Activity requirements

A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.

This activity is extremely weather-dependent. If the weather does not allow for the activity to take place, we will contact you to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Starting times are indicative and depend on the tide, so they can change between 8 am and 6 pm. The exact time of the activity will be communicated by the instructor after your booking is confirmed.

What a way to spend the last day of your holiday. Due to the tides the session was held early evening with clear blue skies. This then led to 2 hours of racing on the side in your own land yaught.
