All you have to do is follow an e-learning course that will be sent to you as soon as you have confirmed your enrolment, and complete 6 technical dives at sea, spread over 3 days. You will have the pleasure of doing your 6 dives on different sites (depending on the weather conditions), and discovering different underwater landscapes (reefs, drop-offs, etc.), always in clear, calm waters that will give you confidence.

The L'Atelier de la Mer diving centre offers a large facility of over 180 m² with separate changing rooms for men and women, hot showers and toilets, a fully-equipped classroom (audiovisual), a spacious outdoor courtyard, a catering service, and much more. This PADI Open Water course includes :

  • online training (e-learning);
  • 6 ocean dives (2 dives per day), averaging 40 to 50 minutes, progressive depth.
Course of events

Please allow 3 consecutive days for the duration of the course.

  • Meeting with the instructor at the L'Atelier de la Mer diving centre in the port of Pointe Rouge
  • Distribution of wetsuits, fins and masks
  • Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
  • Boarding of the boat and departure for the dive site selected according to weather conditions (20 to 25 minutes sailing time)
  • The boat is moored at the dive site, and you are launched with the instructor (1 diver for 1 instructor) who will provide you with the rest of the equipment (tanks, etc.)
  • First technical dive
  • Return aboard the boat and sail back to the port of Pointe Rouge (20 to 25 minutes sailing time) while debriefing the dive
  • Disembarkation and lunch break at the centre (not included)
  • Boarding of the boat and departure around 2 p.m. for the second dive site selected according to weather conditions (20 to 25 minutes sailing time)
  • The boat is moored at the dive site, and you are launched with the instructor (1 diver for 1 instructor) who will provide you with the rest of the equipment (tanks, etc.)
  • Second technical dive
  • Return aboard the boat and sail back to the port of Pointe Rouge (20 to 25 minutes sailing time) while debriefing the dive
  • Disembarkation around 4.30-5 p.m., then return of loaned equipment and reception of first dive certifications before the end of the activity (shower facilities available at the dive centre)
Objectives
  • Being able to move in a guided group to a depth of 20 metres.
Activity requirements

You must have a first dive certificate to take part in this activity.

You don't need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.

All participants must bring a medical certificate that is less than one year old stating that they are not contraindicated in scuba diving.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult on the day of their first immersion to sign a parental authorisation form.

Special terms

This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people.

Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Otherwise, you can wear contact lenses during the activity.

In addition to the 6 dives, this service includes an online course (PADI e-learning) by sending a unique link: once the link has been sent and validated by you, it is no longer possible to cancel the order with the certifying body. Please note that although the activity may be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy for this activity, the e-learning course is non-refundable (remains acquired and accessible). The value of the e-learning course is €200.

On site, you can have lunch at the centre for €16 per menu (main course + dessert) and accommodation from €105 for 3 nights (€35 per night in a dormitory with breakfast included, with the option to upgrade to a room).

Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
