Enjoy a hiking on the heights of Marseille, and discover the scenic view of this Provence city from the Calanques !
You'll pass through Marseille's southern districts, discussing the symbols of this Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur metropolis with your guide. Your walk in Marseille's Calanques will start at the Parc Pastré, which contains natural areas spread over several hectares. It is nicknamed the Pastré countryside because of its location in Marseille's 8th arrondissement. This hike in Marseille will take you through the heart of nature, past Aleppo pines, holm oaks and laurel trees, to the Col des Chèvres at the top of the traverse.
At the top, you can take in the incredible panoramic views of the city of Marseille as you hike through the Calanques de Marseille. After a hearty picnic, you'll descend through rifts, where you'll also find caves and the vegetation will begin to change.
Your hike in Marseille will continue towards Callelongue, the first calanque in the Marseilleveyre massif between Marseille and Cassis. Once there, you'll walk to Les Goudes to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Calanques.
