Mechanical Music Museum

Come and discover the magnificent Mechanical Music Museum, where almost 900 valuable pieces are presented in the context of their era!

Set off on a 2-hour discovery tour, including a 1 hour 15 minute guided tour, followed by a self-guided tour. Take a tour of the various rooms and enjoy access to the guided exhibitions, where you'll learn all about the history and use of these incredible musical instruments. You'll start your visit by exploring the 5 rooms of the Mechanical Music Museum, which retrace the history of mechanical music. You'll have the chance to listen to the melodious sounds of the different families of instruments and understand how they work.

Next, cross the Galerie Impériale to admire the beauty of the facades, the Savoie area, the barrel organs and the automaton figurines. There are also temporary exhibitions.

Learn more about the history of sound and voice recording in a short film, and take the opportunity to discover authentic gramophones, phonographs and jukeboxes, as well as the reconstruction of an old instrument-making and restoration workshop.
