Get your fill of thrills and refreshment in Savoie by taking on the Bénétant Canyon at La Bathie, a sporty canyon accessible from the age of 14!
If you are not a keen sportsman, don't bother: the Bénétant Canyon is reserved for adrenaline-seekers who do sport regularly, not only because of its impressive course but also because of its 35-minute uphill approach walk, which is not accessible to little walkers. This is a canyoning site in Savoie open to sports enthusiasts aged 14 and over, with a 2-hour 45-minute descent featuring some sensational obstacles: abseils of 20 metres high in cascades, natural mega-toboggans up to 15 metres long (which can be abseiled around) and a few jumps up to 6 metres high that can be bypassed. You would better not be afraid of getting drenched if you want to join in this adventure in the Bénétant Canyon!
Departing from the fully equipped CanyoniCimes base at La Plagne-Tarentaise (changing rooms, showers, toilets, restaurant, etc.), you will travel by minibus to the Bénétant Canyon at La Bathie. The experience will take place in a small group of no more than 8 participants, ideal for enjoying the canyon to the full while benefiting from the professional guidance of your instructor. Your instructor will provide you with all the equipment you need for the activity (neoprene wetsuit and socks, canyoning shoes, helmet and harness) and will help you to overcome the obstacles in your path while ensuring your safety. You will then be able to tackle the Bénétant Canyon, one of the most sensational in Savoie, with complete confidence!
Close to the many ski resorts in the Tarentaise Valley (La Plagne, Courchevel, Méribel, etc.), the Bénétant Canyon offers a great sporting adventure at the foot of the Beaufortain massif. So if you are feeling up to it, be sure to head to La Plagne-Tarentaise and join the CanyoniCimes team!
