Do you want to breathe the fresh mountain air and enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif? Then get ready for a 2h30 snowshoe hike through the Aravis mountain range!

The snowshoe hike to the Crête des Planchaux will start at 9:30 am, at the Col des Aravis, near La Clusaz. You will start by crossing a field, then a track, usually well marked by other snowshoers. You will reach the bottom of the Combe du Crot, which you will take to head towards the Source des Aravis. The climb is steady but not particularly difficult.

At an altitude of 1740 m, you will reach an unnamed pass, from where you will be able to admire a breathtaking panorama of the Beaufortain and Mont-Blanc massifs! Then, you will continue your adventure towards the Planchaux ridge to take a picnic break.

After having regained your strength, you will continue towards the Croix de Fer and then reach the Tête belvedere. From there, the descent will be made by the track to the Col des Aravis.

Snowshoeing is a great way to discover the mountain trails in winter and to see the surrounding mountains!
