In the commune of Pont-de-Montvert in the Cévennes National Park, the Sources du Tarn is an easy canyon (without ropes) ideal for discovering the activity with the family.
Departing from Sainte-Enimie in the Gorges du Tarn, your canyoning instructor will meet you at the meeting point. You can leave your car in the village car park, and will then be taken by minibus to the Sources du Tarn canyon, near the village of Pont-de-Montvert, about 1 hour's drive away.
Once you arrive at the canyon car park, your guide will hand out the canyoning equipment: full neoprene wetsuit, trousers, jacket and socks, mountain-type helmet and harness with lanyards. He will also explain the safety instructions for the activity.
You will then begin a 15-minute approach walk, before sliding down the canyon on natural slides, making jumps (up to 6 metres) and swimming in pools of translucent water!
Great fun, there is something for everyone (no jumping is compulsory) and you can move at your own pace through the Sources du Tarn canyon. Fun for all the family!
