Sporty Day Hiking in the Cirque de Gavarnie

Enjoy a beautiful hike in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park and explore the Cirque de Gavarnie until Spain!

This hiking excursion is accessible to anyone in good physical shape who is used to hiking in the mountains.

Programme:
- Departure from the village of Gavarnie where you will meet your mountain guide in the early morning.

- After a short transfer by minibus, you will reach the starting point of the hike. During this guided hike, you will switch to the Spanish side on the back of the Cirque de Gavarnie by a wild route, away from the crowds. You will enter this "elsewhere" by unsuspected trails between the high limestone walls of the massif. The panoramas above the Aragonese valleys are breathtaking!

- The return to France will be by the Brèche de Roland after crossing the vast arid plains between the Pyrenean chamois and marmots under the 3,000m high mountains of Gavarnie.

Remember to gear up with good hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen and sunglasses, water and a picnic. And don't forget your ID!

A carpool is organized until the starting point of the hike with the vehicles available among the participants. Some mountain guides have 9-seater minibusses and can offer places to the first registered participants but this service being offered, it can not be negotiated.
