Go on a ski touring excursion for about 2 hours at sunset or sunrise and enjoy wild and unspoilt off-piste routes as well as beautiful Alpine landscapes!
The goal of ski touring is to practice backcountry skiing before everyone else and enjoy breathtaking views of the Aravis Range. These excursions are for people who already have off-piste skiing/snowboarding experience and slopes equivalent to red-level runs. You will not be able to practice the activity if your technical level is insufficient or if your state is not appropriate to the effort required.
Programme:
Your expert mountain guide will pick you up at the chalet where you are staying in Flaine at dawn or you'll meet directly at the Blackside shop at the end of the afternoon. You'll head for the Col de Pierre Carré and hike for about 20 minutes on your skis or splitboard to the top of the Arbaron. You will be able to admire the sunrise or sunset over the Aravis and ride down the north face of the slope before the other skiers! Then you'll go back to Flaine.
The summit of the Albaron is a symbol of Haute Maurienne. This is a classic spot for ski touring enthusiasts (in spring). From the top, you can contemplate the views of several peaks and mountains (Mont Blanc, Grand Paradis, Vanoise ...).
