Located near the medieval village of La Garde Guérin, the Haut Chassezac canyon is ideal if you want to do a sporty canyoning descent! Intended for thrill seekers, the Haut Chassezac canyon is a continuous succession of jumps, slides, abseils (22 metres max.) and swims in deep basins!
After an approach walk of about thirty minutes, and a briefing from your state certified canyoning instructor on equipment and safety rules, discover a magnificent valley and admire the impressive granite gorges eroded by the Chassezac river. No experience in canyoning is required, but it is necessary to be in good physical condition to be able to take on the day that awaits you!

Practical information
- Meeting point at the entrance of the village of La Garde Guérin, 48800 Prévenchères.
- Equipment set up by your instructor.
- Approach walk to the canyon of 30 minutes with a difference in altitude of 400 meters.
- Briefing by your instructor to make you aware of the basic rules of canyoning.
- Water and pedestrian excursions, abseils (22 metres max.), jumps and slides for a duration of 7 hours.
- Walk back to the meeting point for 1h15.
It is imperative to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition to do this activity.
However, no previous canyoning experience is required to participate.
This activity is weather dependent: if the activity cannot take place because of the weather, you will be offered another date or a refund.

The maximum weight for the wetsuits is 120 kg.
Departure is guaranteed with a minimum of 4 participants.
