Located in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, the Haute-Ardèche Canyon is the perfect place to discover canyoning with family or friends, halfway between Aubenas and Pradelles. Situated near the source of the river, it offers a highly aquatic descent with swimming, sliding down natural slides and jumping up to 7 metres high (all of which can be bypassed) into clear pools of water. All in all, you will spend 2 hours in the Haute-Ardèche Canyon, swimming and hiking in the fresh air!

Accessible from the age of 10 to anyone who can swim, this canyoning activity in the Ardèche will delight anyone looking for a thrill and requires no previous canyoning experience. You will be accompanied in complete safety by a state-certified instructor who will provide you with all the equipment you need for the activity: neoprene wetsuit, canyoning shoes, etc. What's more, you will be taking part in a small group of no more than 10 participants, so you can make the most of the Haute-Ardèche Canyon without stepping on each other's toes!

Practical information

2-hour discovery descent in the Haute-Ardèche Canyon: no compulsory obstacle.

Course of events

- Meeting with the instructor in Mayres, near the Pont de la Vierge, 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the activity

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Distribution of materials and equipment

- 5-minute approach walk

- Start of the 2-hour descent of the Haute-Ardèche Canyon, with no compulsory obstacles

- 5-minute walk back to the meeting point

- De-equipping, debriefing and end of the activity

Activity requirements

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the departure time.

Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity.

You must not have any medical contraindications to take part in this activity.

A minimum number of 4 participants is required to run this activity.

You can take part in the activity wearing glasses, provided you attach them to a cord so they don't get lost along the way.
