The excursion begins at the meeting point in Rovaniemi (pick-up is available from specified locations). You and your group (a maximum of 8 participants) will meet your experience guide. To begin, the guide will go through a safety briefing and itinerary for the day, and the snowshoe equipment will be distributed. High-quality snowshoes are provided to allow you to hike in the deep snow. When you are dressed and ready, you will travel by minivan to a secret location hidden in the woods near the city. Then, the snowshoe adventure begins!

Snowshoeing is the winter equivalent of hiking. This sport dates back at least 3500 years when the practice was everything but a sport. Back then, it was the best way to move over heavy snow while exploring the Lappish nature. Today, this activity offers you the chance to feel like those early explorers. During your snowshoeing excursion, you'll be able to access remote areas allowing you to connect with untouched nature and take in the glorious atmosphere of Arctic forests.

You will hike for a few kilometres into the wilderness before taking a break in an authentic Lappish Kota shelter. You will build a campfire and enjoy some snacks and hot drinks. The tour guide is a professional photographer, who will take amazing photos of you and your loved ones for you to keep as a memory forever! The photos (around 10-15) will be transferred to you a few days after the activity. They will also teach you some tricks and techniques to capture your own landscape and nature photography. After hiking back to the meeting point, you will then return to your pick-up location.
