Dog Sledding Excursion in Levi

Levi is a popular area located in Finnish Lapland. It is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, particularly during the winter months, with snowy landscapes, towering mountains, and frozen lakes. Dog sledding is a traditional Nordic activity that allows you to immerse yourself in the Arctic wilderness!

The adventure begins at the starting point in Levi, where you'll be greeted by the experienced guide. You will be driven approximately 3 km (2 mi) outside of the city to the kennels. Here, you'll meet the Siberian Husky and Alaskan Husky dogs and have some time to capture photos. Then, you'll prepare the sled and receive safety instructions for dog sledding. Once you are set up with your team of dogs, the adventure begins!

The dog sled will be driven by a musher, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the thrill of being pulled through the Arctic landscapes. You'll pass by the pristine snowy trees in this peaceful winter wonderland! At the end of the 3 km (2 mi) ride, you'll return to the kennels. Then, you'll have time to visit a reindeer park, where you can meet, interact, and feed the majestic reindeer! Afterwards, hot drinks and cookies will be served inside a traditional kota (tent). The guide will then drive you back to the original starting point in Levi.
