Hiking tour at the Agia Irini Gorge next to Sougia starting from Kissamos

Agia Irini is about 7.5km in length part of the Lefka Ori, and has a descent of about 500m, making it much easier on the knees than its famous cousin. It is also open year round.

Starting at the village of Agia Irini, this gorge takes us down through the White Mountains to the coastal town of Sougia, on the South coast of Crete. Starting among the tall pine forests then opening up with towering cliffs on either side, this hike will leave a lasting impression! We follow the well maintained path weaving through huge boulders - always keeping a watch for the wild Kri Kri, native to Crete - down into the riverbed which leads us back to the road.
When we exit the gorge, our transport will be waiting to take us back to Kissamos.
