In the comfortable off-road jeep, you'll travel on winding roads from Chania through Kissamos, while the guide shares stories and insights about the area. Then, you'll arrive at the Gramvousa Peninsula, which overlooks Balos Lagoon. The guide will park here and you'll set off on a self-escorted hike of approximately 20-40 minutes to one of the lagoon's breathtaking beaches. The guide will not accompany you to the beach.

Balos Lagoon is famous for its shallow turquoise waters, white-pink sand, and dramatic scenery, where the lagoon meets the rugged Cretan coastline. On the return journey to Chania, you'll stop in Kaliviani Village, known for its traditional Cretan charm, stone-built houses, and welcoming atmosphere. The guide will take you to one of the village's typical Greek taverns, where you can indulge in an optional lunch and delicious beverages. This is a great way to end your day of exploring the incredible natural beauty of Crete. Afterwards, you'll be driven back to your accommodation in Chania.
