Translucent waters, rich in flora and fauna, await you in the Gulf of Propriano, also known as the Gulf of Valinco. Just 1 hour's drive from Ajaccio, this maritime area is a must-see in Corsica, especially if you are planning a first dive near Ajaccio! For around 20 minutes, you will be immersed in an exceptional underwater world, alongside a professional instructor dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable experience, in complete safety.

The adventure begins at the diving centre in Porto Pollo, around 30 minutes from Propriano, where a team of passionate divers will provide you with all the equipment you need for the activity. Then it will be time to board the boat and head off to the site selected for your first dive in the Gulf of Propriano! The site will be chosen not only on the basis of the day's weather conditions, but also for the richness of its flora and fauna and the beauty of its relief. You will dive to a maximum depth of 6 metres, with your instructor by your side to make sure you are comfortable throughout the activity.

Between unique sensations and the discovery of a whole new environment, don't miss your first dive at Porto Pollo, heading for a superb dive site in the Gulf of Valinco!

Practical information

Course of events

- Welcome at the diving centre in Porto Pollo

- Wetsuit fitting at the centre

- Boarding of the boat and sailing for a maximum of 15 minutes to the diving site

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Entry into the water one at a time (1 diver for 1 instructor)

- Immersion for around 20 minutes, to a maximum depth of 6 metres

- Once you have completed your first dive, you return to the boat, remove your equipment and have the opportunity to swim around the boat while you wait for the other participants to complete their first dives (if the instructor allows you to do so)

- Sail back to the centre, disembark and receive your first dive certificate to end the activity

Activity requirements

You don't need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.

Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.

Special terms

Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Otherwise, please ask your optician if you wish to wear contact lenses during the activity.

Accompanying persons are not allowed on board.
