Scuba Diving Discovery in Tenerife from Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje

Whether you have already done a first dive but want to take it to the next level or you have never been fully underwater with a tank, Diving Atlantis offers you the chance to try scuba diving in Tenerife to suit your needs. Not only can you choose between a first dive from the beach at Los Cristianos or from a boat departing from Costa Adeje, but you can also choose between 3 first dive experiences dedicated to beginners:

• a classic 20-minute first dive to a depth of 6 metres maximum;
• a slightly longer 40-minute first dive to a depth of 6 metres maximum, ideal for those who have already done a first dive and don't want to take the next step;
• a short DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) course, which counts as the first lesson of the PADI Open Water Diver course, the stage after the first dive if you want to become certified. This course includes an online theory course (e-learning), a 40-minute first dive to a depth of 6 metres maximum and a temporary certification to allow you to access the second dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

For your first dive in Tenerife, each apprentice diver will be immersed alongside a qualified instructor to learn the sport in complete safety. If you opt for the activity from the beach in Los Cristianos, you will be diving in the Bahía de las Rayas (Stingray Bay), a site which, as its name suggests, is home to many stingrays. But many other species live alongside them (fish, octopus, turtles, prawns, crabs, etc.), on a volcanic reef that covers a large part of the bay floor.

If you opt for a first dive by boat from Costa Adeje, you will reach the La Caleta dive site, a 20-minute sail from the Puerto Colón marina. Here too, a volcanic underwater landscape awaits you, populated by numerous species of fish and other pelagics identical to those seen at Los Cristianos.
