Take part in an unusual activity in Quebec and drive a team of horses on snow near Trois-Rivières in the sublime maple grove of Saint-Wenceslas!
Enjoy a unique winter experience by joining the Poneys des Neiges team for a horse-drawn sleigh ride on snow with their adorable ponies. Accessible from the age of 3, this activity is the perfect opportunity to share a magical family moment on a pony sleigh near Trois-Rivières.
While youngsters can enjoy the winter ride as passengers, participants aged 14 and over can drive the carriage. Being a driver requires a certain amount of physical fitness: you need to be able to stand upright, have a good sense of balance and good reflexes. However, you'll do just fine with the advice of your instructor. He or she will teach you everything you need to know to steer the sled and horse properly, then accompany you during the outing.
Ideally located between Quebec City and Montreal, just a 30-minute drive from Trois-Rivières, the Prince de Saint-Wenceslas sugar bush is the perfect setting for your outing. During a ride lasting around 2 hours, you can enjoy the beautiful maple forest of this typically Quebec site on board a sleigh pulled by a friendly pony or horse. There will be a break so you can change drivers and take photos. Of course, a trip to a maple grove wouldn't be complete without tasting maple taffy on snow! So it's only natural that your horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Prince sugar bush should end with a hot drink and maple taffy on snow.
Certified by aventure écotourisme, Poney des neiges guarantees top-quality supervision and in-depth knowledge of the natural environment. In short, you can trust them to provide you with an unforgettable winter experience with their team of ponies in Centre-du-Québec!
