Jody Laoureux comes from Belgium and discovered the mountains quite late during winter holidays in Chamonix. Stunned by the magnificence of the mountain he never came back from this new love.
His first ski tour left him an ever lasting memory: the Forbes ridge to Chardonnet (night departure for the summit, round trip, 16 hours of walking non-stop...) "Not that easy," he said. Yet he sticks to it and continues to explore the mountain climbing, walking and ski touring all over the Alps.
He's now a mountain guide and enjoys every moments. He will take you into his world and introduce you to his vision of the mountain. While climbing routes in the summer or ice fall climbing in winter, he will share with you a rope history during which you will learn from each other. Throughout the activities, he is there to help you progress but also to have a laugh and talk about your experiences.
"Animated by this passion, I keep travelling to meet new faces, landscapes, cultures, lives... One knot at a time I thread a beautiful life scarf that I will wear when the sun sets on my winter life." Jody Laoureux, aspiring poet
