Haliotis Sesimbra

Haliotis have many diving centres based all over Portugal, they have centres in Peniche, Sesimbra, Santa Maria, Madeira and Faial (Azores). They pride themselves on always focusing on the quality of the services provided. Haliotis is an internationally renowned company in the diving world.

Sesimbra
Sesimbra is probably the most popular diving spot in Portugal, because of its location it’s possible to dive all year round. This centre has male and female changing rooms, classroom, store and filling station. They also have the biggest boat operating in Sesimbra, the Lioti that is 15 metres long.

Sesimbra probably has the most demanding dive spots within Portugal. It is not uncommon for the weather conditions to be adverse along the coast, especially for beginners. It is no coincidence that this fishing villa has been nominated several times as the “Dive Capital” in Portugal.

The dives are characterised by the magnificent views with big cliffs, bays and cables. Here you can dive at different depths, between 5 metres and 10 metres for beginners and below 30 metres for experienced/technical divers.

The diving centre is located on Porto de Abrigo de Sesimbra. Only 35 Km from Lisbon, Sesimbra is the diving area closest to Lisbon.

All the lessons, courses and excursions can be conducted in English, French, Spanish and of course Portuguese.

Haliotis have been members of the PADI association since 28th October, 2004
