In 2009 Alberto Fuertes, the Managing Director of Madrid Fly won the skydiving World Champion competition. That same year he had the idea of building the largest wind tunnel of Europe in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
After visiting many European wind tunnels, Alberto got in touch with KeelWit Technology, the best team of Spanish engineers that could bring to life the daunting plans that Alberto had in mind for the best European wind tunnel. In 2011, Alberto associated with Jerónimo Rosa, CEO of EYDISA. Jerónimo´s 32 year experience in the construction industry made him the perfect addition towards a new market.
Finally, in April 2011 Madrid Fly was officially established as a company. Madrid Fly's tunnel dimensions are bigger than average. The flight chamber is the largest in Europe known to date, with 4.6 meters of diameter (15ft) and 18 meters high. In fact, up to 8 meters are glass walls. This big glass chamber is perfect for spectators, assuring great entertainment for everybody.
With adjustable wind speeds between 180 and 300 km/h Madrid Fly can easily accommodate both beginners and experienced fliers who want to practice a variety of moves according to their different levels.
