Koa Surf School

Olivier Brulon discovered surfing in 1991 at the age of 12 and has been teaching it since 2004 when he decided to make it his profession.

More than a sport, surfing is according to Olivier a way of life. It is a fun and easily accessible activity that allows you to be in total harmony with the ocean and nature.

Created in 2005 on Bruno's initiative, KOA SURF SCHOOL is a surf and water sports school located in La Tranche sur Mer on one of the best beaches in the Vendée. This beach is Terrière beach which is a continuation of the very famous Bud Bud surf spot.

With Koa Surf School you will have the opportunity to initiate or improve your practice in the practice of surfing mainly but not only. You can also take part in bodyboarding, longboarding, bodysurfing, or even skimboarding lessons.

The name of the school comes from a rare wood species, KOA. It is in the latter that the Hawaiians made their surfboards from the outset, the main disadvantage of which was weight. It was not uncommon to find boards weighing around 90 kgs. No worries with Koa Surf School you will surf with adapted boards and at the cutting edge of innovations for a fast and safe progression far from the 90 kgs of Koa boards.
