Rico Descard describes himself as growing up in the waves. Surfing has become a passion, a lifestyle, a way of discovering different cultures for him.
A tireless globetrotter, Rico has visited some of the best surfing spots around the world. He even worked as a surf instructor for Tura’i Mataare, based in French Polynesia.
Having opened his own school, Rico wants to share his passion, lifestyle and experience with other water sports fans. Young or old, beginners or pros, Ecole de surf ARUMAA will take you out to some of the best surfing spots in Royan.
The school only uses top of the range equipment that is comfortable and adapted to your level. Ecole de surf ARUMAA proposes several courses, you’re sure to find something that’s well suited to holiday/break.
The school is a place of conviviality, where you meet like-minded people and develop your ‘marine sense’, water techniques and your relationship with nature.
The philosophy of surfing is to enjoy everything Mother Nature has to offer, whilst preserving the environment.
All courses can be conducted in French, English and Spanish.
