Do you want to enjoy a moment of adventure in the open air and take in the sights? This 3h30 snowshoeing excursion near Le Grand-Bornand will offer you a magnificent panorama of the Aravis mountain range and the Mont-Blanc!
Your snowshoe hike will start at 9am, at the bus stop "les hauts de Samance", in the commune of Grand-Bornand. The departure will be on a well marked trail. Then, you will pass in front of the chalet des Crêts, then, you will go up towards the Plan de Samance, from where the view is of the Aravis mountain range. At around 1570 m, you will turn west towards an unnamed pass: a sustained climb, but without any particular difficulty.
From there, you can admire an incredible panorama of the Bornes massif. Then, a sustained and slightly more technical climb will lead you to the Roc des Tours, the highest point of the day at 1994 m altitude. It will then be time for a picnic break, before heading back down to your starting point.
Snowshoeing at Roc des Tours is a great way to explore the snowy trails of Haute-Savoie and have a great time in the mountains.
