Explore the mesmerising Swedish landscape on this epic 4-day dog sledding experience in the beautiful Arctic Taiga with overnight stays from Kiruna. Welcoming adventurers of all ages on this all-inclusive, family-friendly excursion!

This tour takes place in Kauppinen on the outskirts of Kiruna, the northernmost city of Sweden, located in the Lapland region. This town is characterised by its stunning outdoor scenery. Due to its proximity to the Arctic Circle, during the winter months, Kiruna experiences snowy conditions, creating a white wonderland! Dog sledding is an enjoyable excursion to discover the unique wilderness of Swedish Lapland.

You will start your epic adventure by being picked up from your accommodation in Kiruna or nearby (please specify when booking) or meeting your guide directly at the activity base. The day will start with being introduced to the friendly Alaskan Huskies and learning how to prepare them for a ride. The guide will go through a safety briefing and all of the driving techniques. You will drive your own sled with a team of 4 dogs, becoming an expert dog musher over the 4 days!

This experience includes full accommodation at a traditional Swedish winter cabin for 3 nights. The cabin sleeps 8-10 people, depending on the combination of single clients or couples sharing, it has 6 single beds and 2 double beds. The cabin also features a small cosy sauna and an eco-toilet.

The guide will organise the routes based on the group's size and abilities. Each day, you will head deep into the Arctic Taiga, an area that is renowned for its stunning scenery, as well as its glittering snow and ice. You will drive your own team, travel along wild yet well-maintained tracks by day, and stop at the secluded wilderness cabin at night.

Delicious traditional meals will be served each day and evening with local cuisine. When you are not dog sledding, you are free to enjoy the sauna, or take a walk around the beautiful surroundings. The cabin is located in the middle of the forest beside a stunning river. At nighttime, there is a high chance that the magical Northern Lights will also make an appearance in the remote location. On the fourth day, you will drive your dog sled back to the activity base and return to Kiruna centre.

This unique, inclusive dog sledding tour is an amazing opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the life of an Arctic dog musher in the remote wilderness of Swedish Lapland. Book this 4-day excursion with overnight stays in Kiruna now for an unforgettable adventure!

It was a fully comprehensive dog sledding tour. We got to harness and prepared our sleds each day which was incredible. The nights were spent at beautiful cabins in the Swedish wilderness.
