Explore the hidden treasures and breathtaking views of the south side of Santorini on a mountain e-bike tour from Agio Georgios.
Santorini is a beautiful Greek island located in the southern Aegean Sea, forming part of the Cyclades group of islands. The island is renowned for its diverse landscapes, stunning views and charming villages. Agios Georgios is a small and quiet area located on the southeastern coast of Santorini.
You will meet your guide directly at Agios Georgios, where they will provide you with your full-suspension electric AMT mountain bike (Bosch CX System) and safety gear, including an all-mountain EC-approved cycling helmet and gloves. This activity is suitable for experienced mountain bikers. You can choose from an intermediate or an advanced route, and a semi-private or private tour. On a private tour, you can personalise your itinerary and benefit from the guide's total undivided attention.
Setting off from Agios Georgios, you will cycle to the black sandy beaches of Perivolos and Perissa, making your way around quiet paths and villages that are unknown to the typical tourist. Then, you'll cycle past the ancient city of Thira, the capital and administrative centre of Santorini. You'll continue to the picturesque village of Emporio, visiting its medieval Kasteli (castle), a fortified settlement built during the Middle Ages for protection against pirate raids.
After exploring Emporio and enjoying a delicious glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, the tour continues through the winding roads of Megalohori Village. Situated inland, Megalochori is known for its narrow cobblestone streets, and whitewashed buildings adorned with colourful bougainvillea flowers. You'll stop at the Feggera restaurant in the village and indulge in a traditional food and wine tasting on a beautiful balcony.
Next, you'll be treated to a panoramic view of the iconic Caldera. You'll also visit a small cave chapel in the area, before cycling to the famous Vlyhada Beach. This scenic beach is characterised by towering cliffs of volcanic rock, eroded into fascinating formations by the wind and sea. The final stop on the tour is the private black sandy beach of Perivolos, where you will have some time to relax and take in the mesmerising views of the azure waters. The guide will then transfer you back to your accommodation in Santorini.
If you are passionate about mountain biking, this all-inclusive tour of Santorini's south side and lively villages is the perfect adventure for you!
